Transforming pain into purpose through the power of story.

The "Life of Courtlin D. Fields" Poetic Memoir Series

This five-part poetic memoir, ‘The Life of Courtlin D. Fields,’ is a raw and honest testament to the difficult process of healing. Each volume guides the reader through the essential stages of a transformative journey.

The collection begins with Hating To Love My Life: The Fighter in Me Would Not Let Me Die. As the raw debut of the “hating” stage, this raw and honest collection courageously explores life’s most profound challenges—suicide, love, breakups, and the loss of a child and a parent. It finds a way to turn the darkest memories into a source of light, navigating the complex layers of emotional expression, especially as a Black man for whom vulnerability is often discouraged.

The second installment, Learning To Love My Life: GOD Had to Break Me to Heal Me, explores the “learning” stage of healing. Through poignant prose, Courtlin chronicles the journey where faith meets pain, and understanding becomes a bridge to healing.

The journey continues in the powerful third installment, Accepting To Love My Life: Holding Myself Accountable, which is coming soon. It is an uncensored exploration of breaking down, becoming whole, and choosing to love oneself.
